6/28/09 ROB WILLIAMS #28 MAKES MAGIC

Having watched the big boys turn their wheels at Louden, NH this afternoon the online boys were chewing at the bit tonight to get it on. The one hour practice session went well with some serious tweaking of setups to make their machines perform best.
Jason Burrage's #2 Mountain Dew Chevy Impala SS would turn a sweet 29.813 to sit on the Pole. 5 tenths would seperate the top 5 cars in tonight's lineup.
This little magical one mile track always provides excitement for both the drivers and the fans. There was side by side, bumper to bumper action the whole 125 laps. In the end though it was the #28 Pizza Hut Chevy Impala SS of Rob Williams that would cross the line 1st to take the Checkered Flag. WTG Rob!

6/23/09 STEVE HARRISON #32 WINS IN NH

Optomism abounded when the Nationwide cars took to the track. The weather was perfect. The cars were dialed in. The drivers eager to compete on this tiny one mile track.
Qualifying went well. Steve Harrison driving the #32 Tapout Toyota Camry would set the mark by placing a 28.718 time up on the board. For a second day in a row Dave Coiro's #44 Chevy Monte Carlo would sit on the front row with a 28.913.
Some great racing was witnessed for 125 laps all over this one mile oval. The drivers showed great patience and self-control with an occasional bump n grind which is to be expected as the day wears on. Everyone in the field got to enjoy a look at what running first was like. In the end though it would be the #32 of Steve Harrison that had the most sheet metal in place and crossed the Finish Line on lap 125 first. WTG Steve!

6/22/09 RICH HAYNIE DOES MAGIC AT THE MAGIC MILE

Monday night racing had a great turnout this week. Practice for this event went very well. Concentration on equipment fine tuning for the best performance on this one mile magical oval for 125 laps was crucial. By the end of the practice session it was obvious that the time spent was most beneficial.
The practice activity proved true right away in qualifying for the event. Just ask Dave Coiro driving the #44 Chevy Impala SS if it made a difference. Dave turned an awesome 30.520 to sit on the outside of Pole Sitter Steve Harrison in the #32 Chevy Impala SS who turned a phenominal 30.361.
The race had to be shortened to 75 laps when it was discovered that NASCAR failed to change the flag rules from last weeks settings in Infineon, 26 laps into the event. Really nice to see that NASCAR is not perfect. More super green flag racing ensued. A tough track to drive 2 weeks in a row was most trying for these talented drivers. Steve Harrison seemed to be in complete control of this race and had put quite a distance on the rest of the field when the technical bug bit him and he ended widening the track both inside and outside of the racing surface. Rich Haynie being ever oportunistic took over the lead and never looked back.
Well that's not true because at times he was hunted down and made to get on top of the wheel of his Uniroyal Tires Chevy #57 Impala SS if he wanted to win this thing. Rich proved more than ready for the task and slid that scratchfree ride of his across the Finish Line first to win. Congrats Rich haynie, good job.
A retraction for clarification purposes being pointed out to this humble reporter is as follows. The technical glitch that Steve Harrison incurred happened about midpoint in the race and in no way was meant to infer that Rich Haynie, who happened to be in the lead at the time, gained the lead due to said lag issue of Harrison's. My humble apologies to Rich for the oversight.

6/18/09 RAY CHANDONNET #61 WINS IN KENTUCKY

Normally a dismal night for racing it turned out to be a wonderful night with a great turnout. 8 trucks unloaded and spent an hour fine tuning their rigs for qualifying and racing. By the times posted during practice it looked to be a night of close quarters racing.
Qualifying brought out some edge of the seat and top of the wheel performances by all these talented drivers. Eddy Sport driving the #42 Dodge using a tweaked Ray Chandonnet setup posted a super 31.802 to sit on the Pole. There was but a 4 tenths difference from the pole to 8th slot.
The race was exceptional to say the least. A newcomer to CanAm, Don Tucker driving the #90 Ford F-Series truck made his debut and performed well. Lead changes galore, bumper to bumper side by side sometimes 3 wide racing with but 2 cautions had everyone smiling ear to ear. Green flag pitstops added to the drama making drivers decide on wether take 2 or 4 tires. At the end Joe Exline in the #39 Toyota Tundra looked like he was going to take the win away from Ray Chandonnet's #61 Country 92.5 Chevy Silverado. With half a lap to go Joe's fuel ran out when he took a chance hoping to make it to the finish line without that last pit stop. Ray however dipped in to take a splash n go and flew by Joe in turn 3 to take the win. WTG Ray!

6/16/09 JOE SZOT 33 IS FAMOUS IN MILWAUKEE

Overcoming some technical problems that nearly cost a night of racing the warriors got to unload and run their chariots to the delight of the fans. Practice went well with everyone pleased with the performance of their cars. An unforseen server shutdown due to weather in Illinois caused the members to scramble for an alternate soulution. See story in Forums.
Come time to qualify Steve Harrison driving the #31 Toyota Camry would post a steaming 28.709 to sit on the Pole. The rest of the field turned close times to make it appear to be a great night of racing for all.
The race was no disappointment folks. Bumper to bumper side by side action was the menu of the night. In the end though it would be Joe Szot driving the #33 Chevy crossing the Finish Line taking the coveted checkered flag. WTG Joe!
