Hey Dana I Found this thread, try this and see if it works.
Cool I found it, at least for MY problem.
I wish it can help someone out there...
If you ever have windows or your game not seing your wheel as a G27 do this:
1. uncompress the 5.08 newest driver updater (right click on the lgs508.exe file then extract it to a folder of your choice) instead of double click the .exe wich start the installer.
2. Right click on ''My Computer'' and click on manage.
3. Go to HID user peripherals (I guessed the english translation here), then go to all of the Logitech Virtual Hid Devices you can find and update the driver chosing where you will take the files... yes, you will use the files you extracted on step 1.
For me the driver files are in <drive>:\folder where I extracted\lgs508\2a-LGS-x86\Common\Logitech\WMDrivers
After I updated these files I unplugued and pluged the wheel and it found a G27, not a Driving Force Pro !!!
did same steps for the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel USB and Logitech G27 Racing Wheel USB HID periferals and voila... it work.
Tested with LFS and it's AWESOME !!! I can even tel LFS to use sequential and it work with the H-Shifter... you just have to configure hi and low shift to midle up and down positions of the nob.
All I need to find now is how to get the LEDS working with LFS, but for this I can count on the add-ons of the game... for sure there will be something out there soon if not already released.
-Edited after some changes done-
The profiler was still not right so I reinstalled using the lgs508.exe and this time it worked as the G27 drivers where already seen and installed. No more conflick or detection of a DFP wheel... so I can now see the G27 in Windows game controlers and when I press the gas LEDS light up !!! YEAAAAA
For the ones who had no logitech controlers before you can try this but it might not work.
Tomorow I test the controler on the PS3 + Shift and and GT5 demo, if it does not work, i'll post comments, if it work, i'll play instead of typing here, already lost a few hours of precious vacations on this driver problem.
With your hints I got the wheel fully working. I reakized that the DLLs of the HID-Devices werent updated by the Profiler. So first I used the 5.07 Software and updated the DLLs by hand, the wheel worked but the steering angle was fixed to 200°. By extracting the 5.08 version and updating the DLLs by hand, now everything seems to work perfekt.
Too bad, that I have to pay 300€ for being a beta-tester, that **bleep** really hard.
For those who still don't know: Most games don t support the LEDs yet, I ve testet em with GTR Evolution, where they work fine (after fixing the drivers), LFS doesn t support GTL too. For those who want to test, get "Volvo- The game", which is free to download (just use G**gle), and supports the LEDs.
